History of Pioneer Days
It all began with a Bridge…..
In 1964, tucker away along the Rum River in northern Anoka County, was the unique new little village of St. Francis, still getting use to the fact that they had elected their first Mayor, Robert Leathers in 1962. With just a fw houses speckled along Hwy. 47 along with the scenic Drive-In, St. Francis was very different then. Neighbors were more than just neighbors, as everyday life revolved around the school, churches and the small event that went on daily ~ and everyone seemed to be included.
