The 54th Annual Pioneer Days celebration hosted by the St. Francis Area Chamber of Commerce and is set for June 8-10, 2018. Most of the events take place in Community Park located at 22825 St. Francis Blvd NW., St. Francis, MN 55070.

Please remember there are no pets, no coolers and no skateboards allowed at Pioneer Days.

Parade Applications can be completed online here, and are due by Friday, May 25.

The Pioneer Days Parade will be on Saturday, June 9 at 1:00pm

14th Annual Amateur Photo Contest

  • Sponsored by Village Bank – Photos (no larger than 4 x 6) can be dropped off at Village Bank by no LATER than Wednesday, June 7, 5:00pm
  • Three Categories, they are: Scenic, People, and Animals
  • Age Groups for each of three categories are: Adults – ages 18+ AND Kids – ages 10 – 17
  • Winners will be announced (and contacted) by Friday, June 9
  • Photos will be displayed through June 9 at Village Bank

      • Thursday, June 8: Noon -3:00pm
      • Friday, June 9: Noon-4:00pm
      • Saturday, June 10: 7:00am-9:00am

St. Francis Lions Club and North Lake Brewing Softball Tournament

  • The Lions are looking for softball teams for the Pioneer Days tournament. If you have a team that wants to participate call (763) 753-1265.
    • Games played at Community Park
    • 8:00am start time on Saturday, June 10
    • $175.00 fee
    • 12 team limit – Double Elimination

5K Color Walk/Run the Rum

  • Saturday, June 10 at 8:00am
    Life Fitness along with the St. Francis Lions are promoting wellness and fitness for all ages.
    Enjoy the scenic trail along the Rum River—voted the most beautiful river walk/run in Minnesota for 2008

St. Francis Dairy Queen and Killebrew Rootbeer Kids Walk for Fun (color run)

  • St. Francis Lions along with St. Francis Dairy Queen and Killebrew Rootbeer present the Pioneer Days Kid Walk on Saturday, June 10 – and it is FREE for all kids 12 and under! All participants will receive a Killebrew Rootbeer Float made with DQ ice cream at the finish line.Pick up your registration at St. Francis Dairy Queen or St. Francis True Value. Everyone registered before May 26 will receive a T-shirt the day of the event.

The Great St. Francis Pioneer Days Lions Club Bed Race Sponsored by Patriot Lanes Bar & Grill

  • Wake up and get creative! Get your team together to build a bed and race for the fastest time. You and your team are racing for the Bed Post Traveling Trophy and of course, “Bragging Rights”.
  • Your 5 person team will line up at 11:30am on Saturday, June 10 in front of the St. Francis Hardware Store. Two teams will push off at breakneck speeds. Teams will race in two bed heats with the winners advancing.
    • TIME: 12:00pm SHARP. Racers are asked to report at 11:30am at the St. Francis Hardware Store so we can get the heats lined up.
    • COST: $50.00 per team
    • RACERS: 5 per team, 4 pushers, 1 rider, all must wear a helmet.
    • Awards: 1st Place- Bed Post Traveling Trophy

  • Saturday, 10 minutes after dusk at the St. Francis High School.

**No tobacco or alcohol on school grounds.

Medallion Hunt

Clues for the Medallion Hunt will be posted daily on Facebook and will show up on our website homepage

Pioneer Days Medallion Hunt Rules
  • Must have a Pioneer Days Button to claim prize package (limited number of buttons available and sold at local businesses).
  • The medallion will be hidden on public property within the St. Francis city limits (at or near ground level).
  • It may be partially or fully enclosed in another item.
  • The clues will be posted daily on the St. Francis Area Chamber of Commerce Website and Facebook.
  • The first person to find the medallion and bring it to the service counter at King’s County Market in St. Francis will be declared the winner.
  • The winner will need to be available for a photo and prize presentation upon presenting the Medallion.
