Pioneer Days Parade – Saturday, June 8, 2019, 12:00 p.m.
Thank you for your entry in this year’s St. Francis Pioneer Days Grand Parade on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. PLEASE NOTE there is a NEW ROUTE this year due to construction.
Please see attached map for parade route and listing with your lineup number (Coming Soon). Your number will be marked on the side of the road along Ambassador Boulevard starting at 233rd Avenue NW, going north on to Stark Drive. Please enter the staging area from either Highway 47 or Stark Drive so traffic flows one way. A map with an approximate lineup location based on your number will be sent later today.
The parade lineup time is 11:00 a.m., with the parade starting at 12:00 p.m. SHARP! The roads will be closed at 10:30 a.m. so you must be at your assigned number by then. Carpooling is recommended. Parents/family/friends: after 10:30 a.m. you will not be able to drive anyone to their lineup place. Please plan accordingly. There will be a parking area just north of St. Francis Bottle Shop, close to the water tower for parade entrants. (Hwy. 47 & 233rd Ave.)
Judging of parade entries will take place at the Viewing Stand located in front of the Fire Station on the parade route map.
PLEASE NOTE: For safety reasons the St. Francis Police Chief has ordered absolutely no throwing of candy from moving vehicles or floats. All candy/items must be handed out from walkers. Water and squirt guns will NOT be allowed on any unit, this includes fire department trucks. Failure to follow these rules may result in your removal from the parade.
Please make sure the information on this flyer is relayed to all participants of your entry. For more information on Pioneer Days visit www.stfrancischamber.org/pioneerdays. Parade questions?
